Installation of OpenVPN
For remote maintenance we utilize "OpenVPN" as connection technology.
We use a customized version of the "OpenVPN client" which you can find below as download link next to "PerFact OpenVPN-GUI".

This program is based on the features of "OpenVPN".
Please check the version of the OpenVPN client itself on your system, too (control panel | programs).
If the version is older than 2.3.0, please deinstall it.
Administrative privileges are necessary to run the installer, so it may register a new service in the system. This service takes care of creating and deleting routes, so the target systems are reachable through the VPN tunnel.To install follow the instructions: Please click the button next to the respective step to view screenshots.
Entry to installation
Click double onto downloaded file.
Confirm security warning
Click "Yes".
Select language
Select your language and click "OK".
Accept license
Please read the terms of agreement and click "Accept", if you agree.
Install network adapter
A virtual network adapter, which requires its own driver, must be installed on the system in order for a VPN connection to be established. Click „install“.
Finish installation
With all components installed, quit with a click on "Exit".
